Saddening as DESPO-Otefe Student drowns in Ibrifo River

The infamous Ibrifo River has yet again claimed the life of a student of Delta state polytechnic, supposedly in Mechanical Engineering Department. According to source,
the young man aimed at swimming to the other end of the river and coming back.

This was how he eventually lost control and  drowned in the River. This happened between 1:00pm to 2:30pm in the afternoon on Monday. For now his identity is not yet known as his friends abandoned the scene as soon as he drowned.

The school Chief Security Officer, CSO came to the scene and asked for a police report before the body would be taken out of the river. A search party together with the family relations were at the river yesterday, but could not recover the body.
Till this very moment the body of the boy has not been found.
