Today being Pentecost Sunday for Catholics all over the world, was a dramatic one indeed for members of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Ughelli, Delta State, who were locked out of their church premises
this morning by the Landlord, who claimed that the church was owing him money.

This incidence was prior to the notice that was left on the gate last week Sunday, stating that the church should pay up its outstanding debt before one week or it will face the consequences.

However, the church has stated clearly that the land was bought and has documents to prove. However the issue is presently in court as members of the Landlord’s family refuse to agree with the document presented by the church.
