The proposed medical trip by President Muhammadu Buhari has incited a series of mixed reactions from Nigerians. President Buhari had
taken to Twitter on Monday to announce that he would embark on a four-day trip to the United Kingdom to see his doctor.
According to a statement from the Presidency,
the President had met with his doctor when he had a technical stopover for
aircraft maintenance in London on his way back from Washington last week.
He is expected to travel today (Tuesday) and return to the country
on Saturday, May 12.
President Buhari is returning to the UK to meet with his doctor barely nine months after he returned from a medical vacation on August 19, 2017.He had left the country on May 7, 2017, after handing over to his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
President Buhari just loves flying around.— Yul Edochie (@YulEdochie) May 7, 2018
If he truly wants Nigeria to grow, His doctor should fly down here instead, whatever equipments and knowledge he has should be brought down to a hospital here to improve our health care system.
Mr. President think Nigeria, grow Nigeria
Between Buhari and our economy I honestly don’t know which is healthier. Both rely on foreigners to survive. Buhari depends on foreign doctors and our economy depends on foreign loans. Our President goes to London for medicine. His finance minister goes there to beg and borrow!— Reno Omokri (@renoomokri) May 8, 2018
Now it has become clear that Buhari was the airplane that did a “Technical stop over” in UK for engine check. Remember that lie Garba Shehu told about the “big jet is under repair”? Buhari was actually the big jet!— Jackson Ude (@jacksonpbn) May 8, 2018
They now tell lies in codes!
God bless President Muhammad Buhari with good health.— Saleh Shehu Ashaka (@AshakaSaleh) May 8, 2018
Buhari spends more time abroad than in Nigeria— DADDY THE FATHER (@SemilooreAkoni) May 8, 2018
