It has been drama after drama, since Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana aka Falz released his
latest video, "This is Nigeria".
Presently an Islamic group called MURIC has given Falz a 7 days ultimatum, to take down "this is Nigeria" video. The Islamic group claims that the girls in Hijab dancing 'Shaku shaku' is profanity of their religion.
However various Nigerians have reacted against the threat issued by the Islamic group.
I give MURIC 7 hours to withdraw their threat against Falz or we ask Falz for a remix— YOUR NEXT BOYFRIEND and 15 others (@playtoomush) June 5, 2018
I am not even surprised about the news of some Muslim group threatening to sue Falz because of his video. #ThisIsNigeria where people ignore the message and attack the messenger.— Wale Adetona (@iSlimfit) June 5, 2018
I knew it would come to this eventually.
Sue Falz ke? That is by far the Dumbest move anyone can think of doing. Falz is a Lawyer, His mother is a Lawyer, His father infact, his father alone na Legal Institution, then you now want to Sue him. No be only Sue, it's Suya. I'm tired of Stupidity.— Ric Hassani (@RicHassani) June 5, 2018
MURIC should really sue Falz. I just want to see how stupid we are in this country. This one go be more drama #BBNaija SMH #ThisIsNigeria— Dika Ofoma (@DikaOfoma) June 5, 2018
It simple!!— SAVII (@saviour_arc) June 5, 2018
The Government reached out to the so called Muslim Right Council whatever, to help them kill the Falz video.
Our Government hates the truth.
I stand with Falz. #ThisIsNigeria
If Falz comot the video, we go upload am back.— 💙 (@Olajvde) June 5, 2018
The recent debacle between the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) and Nigerian artist, Falz, over his video "This Is Nigeria", speaks volumes about the intellectual deficiencies that plague this nation.— Dinn Eferet (@DinnEferet) June 5, 2018
Artistic expression, sacrificed on the altar of dumb emotions. #ThisIsNigeria
Christians/Muslims have been portraying herbalists & traditionalists as evil for years in music videos, yet the association of Babalawo’s and witches never asked anyone to take anything down. One music video and Falz is already being threatened.— desmond (@desmondmainboy) June 5, 2018
This gotta be Nigeria
when girls with hijab were bombing markets and motor parks, we didn't hear anything like MURIC— dika (@TheKachi) June 5, 2018
But because Falz made a video with girls dancing shaku shaku they're forming vex now MURIC if you don't geddifok pic.twitter.com/ztS3UQLMwZ
